I Got a Makeover!!!

A blog makeover that is :) Jady Day Studios did me right with this gorgeous new look! I decided a new look, for a new start! Life has a way of taking sharp turns and curves when we least expect it and mine is no exception. After losing my beloved Steve last July 4th to cancer, I couldn't scrap. For one thing, I was too busy picking up the pieces of broken dreams and hopes, and moving and starting school and getting my kids settled back in a different school AGAIN. For another thing, anytime I would start to scrap, I would remember what was going on, who was there, what he said or did or had to say about that moment and it was just too painful to keep going. So I bit the bullet and went to a beach crop retreat the end of January with some good friends and just scrapped and cried! I got almost all of last years pictures finished and have a zillion ideas for new projects I want to start. Project Scrapbook Room has commenced as of yesterday (the foundation is getting done) and although I'm loving all the digital scrapping I've been doing, I'm ready for my new room to get finished so I can get my hands into my paper stash again :)

Until then there will be lots of digital pages for me to get caught up on, starting now!!! Tomorrow I will post some pics of the foundation of my NEW scrapbook room in progress.

I have so many LO's to upload that unless I know right off hand who designed what, this post might not have all the credits I need, but I can say that almost all of the stuff came from my FAVORITE digital scrapbooking site http://www.scrapmatters.com/ The designers there are amazing!

Here goes:

My beautiful, little family! I love my kids so much and they've been so supportive of me with everything going on! Kit is Love Me Do by JadyDay Studios at ScrapMatters.

Strawberry Album

I used the Preserves cartridge for this CUTE album of Sadie's preschool class going strawberry pickin'. Cardstock is from SU and cover paper is MME. I used a white gel pen to do the faux stitching around the edges. This project is also for the challenge at www.sugarsweetpapertreats.blogspot.com I am so excited to be a new member of the design team over there!

Wedding Album

I have officially finished our wedding album!!! I'm so excited and I think it's gorgeous myself (except I'll probably change the title page soooo not happy with that one.) I used Making Memories I Do paper/embellies and several of the pages have cricut cuts on them. The 2 carts I used were Storybook (my fav) and Mother's Day.

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!!!

I spent about 9 hours scrapping today! I finished 9 12x12 pages to finally complete our wedding album and then decided to do this mini using instructions from www.followingthepapertrail.blogspot.com Papers are from K&Co and Bazzill cardstock. Prima flowers, the birdcage cut on the front is from the cricut cartridge Straight From the Nest.

Happy Easter Mini #2

This is my second easter mini with pics from the church easter egg dinner/hunt. I used Kathy Orta's instructions on doing a gatefold paper bag album, check out www.paperphenomenon.blogspot.com for further instructions. The paper is Bugs and Butterflies by TPC Studios. I also used my cricut cartridge Walk in my Garden for the ladybug cut. Stickers and chipboard are KI Memories, Recollections, Heidi Swapp, and Jolees.

Happy Easter Mini #1

I'm doing 3 easter minis this year! One for Sadie's preschool egg hunt/party, one for the church and one for our family get together. (I love Easter!) I used a Basic Grey bracket chipboard album for this one, the fabric on front and back and the strips are also from Basic Grey. Some of the stickers are felt ones from Michaels, Recollections, Sandylion and TPC Studios. The title tag on the front is a piece from BG's Kioshi line and I stamped it with a dollar stamp from J's in Purely Pomengranete ink by Stampin Up. All paper and the metal brads are from TPC Studios (the Sunny Bunny collection). Paper clips are recollections.

Daddy's Day

Sadie's preschool had a really cute "Dad's Day Breakfast" for daddies since they are not in session during June. I had to scrap and haven't digi scrapped in oh so long. A sprained ankle has parked for several days and can't make it upstairs to the play room to paper scrap. I used Just Dreamy by Traci Reed at Sweet Shoppe Designs.
